In early 2016 we packed up our wagons & smokers and moseyed down the trail about a half mile to the south, on Highway 9, out of the big city and into our great new location. Our new roadhouse greeted us like an old friend, with more space and a beautiful garden patio settled under the redwoods and oak tree. Yipeekayeah!

"The menu was packed with Cowboy comfort food, which meant that everything sounded good. I had a hard time deciding what to order..."- Ann Parker, Sentinel restaurant reviewer
For the past two decades, a quirky little restaurant called Cowboy Diner has been rustling up solidly good grub in the center of Felton. Now that chuck wagon has rolled its way to a new location — about a half-mile south — and a new name, Cowboy Bar & Grill.
Laurie and I arrived for an early weekday dinner and found the parking lot almost full. Cowboy Bar & Grill has taken over the former site of Oak Tree Ristorante and the move seems to be working well. A chilly wind was blowing, so no one was sitting out on the beautiful patio. But inside the place was jumping.
Ambiance: Down-home and family-friendly with a kick of cowboy kitsch; beautiful outdoor patio
Cost: Reasonable, entrées $12-$32
